Nikon UV filter completelt cuts out ultraviolet (UV) light invisible to the naked eye. Has no effect on visible light. Cuts out haze. L37 and L37c absorb ultraviolet light shorter than 370mu in wavelength and L39 cuts out wavelength shorter than 390mmu.. Leave L37 and L37C on the lens as a lens protector. Use L39 instead to produce a more prominent effect in black and white photography.

It works on any 52mm threads Nikon lenses. Retail price is more than $30. It comes with Nikon plastic cover.
